ANTAGONIST AND ANTIBACTERIAL PROPERTIES OF THE BACTERIAL STRAIN BACILLUS AMYLOLIQUEFACIENS –UZMU 22
Abstract
A total of 8 endophytic isolates were isolated from the root of the medicinal plant Kalanchoe degremona, 3 from the stem and 3 from the leaves. As a result of the screening, isolate K7, isolated from Kalanchoe degremona, was isolated and identified by MALDI TOF mass spectrometry. The isolated bacterial isolate K7 was identified as B. amyloliquefaciens and named B. amyloliquefaciens - strain UzMU 22. The antigonistic activity of the Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain - UzMU 22 was determined against such pathogenic fungi as Verticillium dahliae, Alternaria alternata, Fusarium solani and Fusarium oxysporum, sensitivity to a number of antibiotics, such as kanamycin, erythromycin, cefotoxin, ceprofloxacin, gentamicin and lencomycin, as well as the activity of hydrolytic enzymes.
