Abstract

In the article, for the first time, the relation of the soil cover structure of the Amudarya delta with the relief elements was analyzed based on the relief plastic method. On the basis of a large-scale relief plastic map of the object, on the example of non-irrigated areas, the combination of soil cover structure with relief elements was studied in field conditions. In addition, "Elementary landscape" groups were divided on the basis of the relief plastic card of the object. Then, the orderly change of the soil cover structure was studied in the example of small deltas (Kokhnadarya-Kazogdarya, Aqboshli, Kipchakdarya). Especially in the upper part of the small deltas, the structure of the soil cover is weakly saline, while the soils in the lower part are strongly saline. The analysis of soil cover structure based on the relief plastic method, in turn, creates a scientific basis for forecasting the process of desertification occurring in these soils.
