THE MAIN DIRECTIONS AND FEATURES OF PRACTICAL SOCIAL WORK IN RUSSIA

Abstract

The article covers the idea of the social sphere in foreign countries today, precisely in Russia, the differentiation of the profession of social work. The formation and development of “Social Work” and “social pedogogy” in Russia took many years. Even in pre-revolutionary Russia, it has become a tradition to show help, charity and compassion. During the Soviet period, a lot of experience was accumulated in the conduct of educational, mass cultural and educational work among the population. However, in the course of certain events, the tradition of social assistance was lost. Therefore, unlike countries with historical traditions of Social Work, Russia was forced to practically recreate the modern national system of social work. The formation of social work in Russia as a sphere of professional activity is carried out simultaneously with the scientific and practical development of the main methodological, conceptual rules.
